Kit for Cat (1948)
Kit for Cat Review
Kit for Cat is a 1948 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very forgettable flick.
First and foremost, I liked this film to a degree. I loved that third act with the two switching on radio and the voices fitting the action on screen. That was fun and inventive. I also liked the animation and that kitten surely was adorable. The film has an endearing factor to it that is difficult to resist.
But still, watching this kitten annoy Sylvester is a typical storyline that is tired by this point for these cartoons, and I simply continue to find Sylvester badly used in the majority of shorts from this period in Warner Bros. history. He should either be with Tweety or at least with someone interesting enough who deserves to be in his company.
Kit for Cat is endearing and the finale is good, but the cartoon is otherwise a standard fare with Sylvester again being weakly used.
