Jackass Number Two Movie Review
Jackass Number Two is a 2006 reality slapstick comedy directed by Jeff Tremaine and starring Johnny Knoxville. It is a wildly entertaining sequel.

The stunt directors perform some of the jaw-dropping stunts and shed light on the difficulties and hardships they faced while filming. This movie is more of the same, though it is slightly more memorable and more enjoyable than the original film, but in runtime and in the stunts that they do, the two are pretty much equal.
Knoxville was memorable here and so charismatic while the newer addition Wee Man stole the show from the other performers as he was so funny. His nude stunt was particularly effective. The gang still behaved like juvenile delinquents here and it was a blast seeing their fun, childish dynamic. The insightful look that we get on how the stunts are filmed and how some of their friends and family react to them was interesting.
As was the case before, Jackass Number Two is wildly uneven in its various stunts that the team performs. Some are great, some are repetitive, some are unforgettable while some are downright disgusting. Watching those gross-out gags I felt repulsed and nauseous. I did laugh eventually at the sheer audacity of it all, but there is no denying that these made me feel sick, in particular the poop segments and that disgusting fart stunt. Once again, toilet humor is the worst here.
There are so many stunts that are overly short, thus making very little effect on the viewer. The longer ones fared much better. Some of the highlights include the silly rocket stunt, the zapping gag, pulling the joke on one of the performers’ mothers and the cobra sequence.

The very best sequence arrived at the very end. The gang performer various stunts while performing in what is basically a Busby Berkeley riff. This was the most cinematic and best executed section in the movie that I wish had more of these moments as it is otherwise typically messily edited and directed.
