Inferior Decorator Review

Inferior Decorator Review

Inferior Decorator is a 1948 animated short film produced by Disney. It is a pretty weak flick.

As Donald decorates his house, he ends up in a confrontation with Spike the Bee. This is one of those many shorts that are about Donald being frustrated by a certain small animal, often an insect. This is not a particularly engaging take on that setup and there have been numerous better examples of it.

The animation is fine, Donald is quite fun and the movie has its moments with the ending being particularly memorable. But the bee itself was quite forgettable and the film failed to connect in terms of plot, gags and charm. It was an overly lazy short for sure.

Inferior Decorator has some solid scenes, but the lack of originality and engaging humor made it a middling entry in the series.

My Rating – 3.4
