I Love a Parade (1932)
I Love a Parade Review
I Love a Parade is a 1932 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a very amusing, inventive entry.
I Love a Parade truly is one fine Merry Melody. Yes, it should have been even more imaginative given its great premise, it should have also been funnier and its first half is strongly lacking and inferior to the second one, but other than that, it is a satisfying and very entertaining entry.
I loved the Mickey cameo which was so well done, I liked the parade itself, but the highlights are those acts. Some of them were incredibly inventive and interesting, but the standout one has to be the lion at the end as he closed the picture brilliantly. He couldn’t scratch his back so he pulled his teeth out and used them to scratch and get the pests out of his back. Very funny and crazy.
I Love a Parade is uneven, but brilliantly inventive in some of its acts and so amusing.
