Hobby Horse-Laffs (1942)
Hobby Horse-Laffs Review
Hobby Horse-Laffs is a 1942 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is such a frustratingly weak flick.
I don’t understand why this belongs in the Looney Tunes series when it obviously doesn’t have any stars in it whatsoever. What it does have, however, is weak, tired black-and-white animation which does make it a Looney Tunes entry. I did like the narration personally and I did find the voice acting pretty good here with a couple of pretty strong voices here and there.
But the story itself is ridiculously thin, uneventful and just plain uninteresting. And the same goes for the characters which are all forgettable, boring one-off characters which serve no purpose at all. I am getting tired of this current slump that Warner Bros. was having and I do hope that they turn things around sooner rather than later.
Hobby Horse-Laffs has good voice acting, but tired animation, storytelling and particularly weak characters.
