Frigid Hare is a 1949 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is such a cute flick.

While spending his vacation on the South Pole, Bugs Bunny encounters a penguin in peril. He is being hunted by an Eskimo so the bunny decides to help him in the end. I found this short weird and the first half story just sort of happens, but the second half is where we get the best moments.

The Eskimo himself is solid, but that penguin is just so damn adorable of a creation that I loved him to pieces. Him being all dressed up was so cute. The animation overall is stupendous here as is the use of the icy location which was different and unique for the series. But Bugs showed his most human side yet in this cartoon and that was wonderful to witness.

Frigid Hare is a weird, but adorable cartoon giving us the most human Bugs has ever been for sure.
