Everglade Raid is a 1958 animated short film from the Woody Woodpecker series. It is a fine short.
Woody gets a job as an alligator bagger, but the alligator has similar plans for the woodpecker. This is a different movie in its swamp setting and main alligator adversary. The setting could have been even better used, but the movie at least looked and sounded good.
The alligator was well designed and he was a lot of fun. Some of the gags worked and the dynamic between the two was delightful. I just wished that the movie had more of a kinetic energy to its proceedings and better writing in both dialogue and humorous situations.
