Congratulations It’s Pink is a 1967 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
The Pink Panther steals a family’s baby basket instead of a picnic basket at the park and ends up having to raise the until the parents return. The animation here is particularly strong and colorful and the score is reliably wonderful. The short is atmospheric and very charming in its own way.
My problem with the film is that its story is rather tiresome and seen many times by now in much better films. It’s fine at first, but later on it becomes repetitive. The beginning and the conclusion are the best while the entire mid-section is highly forgettable.
Congratulations It’s Pink looks and sounds great, but the story itself is rather uninspired.
