Come On In! The Water’s Pink is a 1968 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
The Pink Panther visits Bicep Beach and through his series of inflatable items, which include fake muscles, weights, and a swimming pool, impresses the ladies and steals the spotlight from a muscleman, who attempts to get revenge on him in turn. This is not the most original concept for the series, but it mostly worked as that muscleman is quite memorable.
Pink is great here, he is especially cruel toward this muscular man, and I found some of those action scenes very well set up and quite fun. The movie also is superbly scored, well animated and utilizing on the beach setting so well. But overall, it needed more inventive moments to take it to the next level.
Come On In! The Water’s Pink features some solid action scenes, but overall it’s not all that original.
