Chariots of Fur is a 1994 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a solid, but flawed short.

Coyote is still hunting down the roadrunner, despite a warning from the surgeon general that it can damage your health. Undeterred, Coyote employs bird seed and giant mouse traps and springs in an attempt to catch the tricky bird. This is a somewhat pedestrian Road Runner short that only features a couple of very memorable sequences with the rest being subpar.

The traps that the coyote employs throughout the short are quite a lot of fun with the highlight being those ridiculous ACME lightning bolts. The stupidity of these inventions was quite amusing to witness. The animation is also strong and the signs used here are initially very entertaining, but eventually they become overplayed and tiresome.

Chariots of Fur has strong animation and a couple of great gags, but it is also a short that felt repetitive in its second half.
