Big Top Bunny (1951)
Big Top Bunny Review
Big Top Bunny is a 1951 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a weaker flick.
Yes, Bugs Bunny usually gets much better cartoons for himself, but this time around sadly that is not the case. The whole flick is repetitive in terms of action and scenarios, and rarely does it feature any truly memorable moments. Bugs himself is also not all that funny here which was odd to witness.
However, I did like that Bruno bear, his Russian accent is amusing, and he is a lot of goofy fun. The interactions between the two steal the show here along with the movie’s strong animation which utilizes on the circus setting quite well. I just wish that the action was better and more creative.
Big Top Bunny is repetitive and uninspired in action and humor, but it does feature solid character interactions and a memorable bear.
