Any Rags? is a 1932 animated short film from the Talkartoons series.

Bimbo is a garbage man in this cartoon, but he does his job poorly. This is one of those cartoons that deal with one profession in a funny, cartoony way. It’s not the most inspired or artistic short in terms of plot or animation, but it works because it’s so well executed and a whole lot of fun.

Betty is very memorable in a short, but fun risqué role. Bimbo is so much fun here and his new design is much better than the previous one. The movie looks good and it features amusing albeit far from hilarious scenarios, but the highlight is the score itself, which is among the best in the Talkartoons series. It’s so eclectic, catchy and very memorable, especially toward the end.

Any Rags? is one of the better Talkartoons due to a terrific soundtrack and a very memorable Bimbo.
