A Peck o’ Trouble is a 1953 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weaker flick.
Lazy Dodsworth the Cat wants to catch a woodpecker for his breakfast. Dodsworth the cat is a fine character, but this is one of his weaker outings for sure. I liked the animation, and the tree was well utilized for some quite solid scenarios that were amusing. The woodpecker is a lot of fun.
But most of the scenarios were overplayed and repetitious in nature. I did not like how Dodsworth was never particularly funny nor was he truly memorable in any of the scenes here. The short is fine, but nothing truly original or all that entertaining. I expect better things from this series by now.
A Peck o’ Trouble definitely has its strengths, but overall it’s a weaker Looney Tunes cartoon.
