A Kiddies Kitty is a 1955 animated short film from the Merry Melodies series. It is a funny short.

This one is all about a little girl torturing our Sylvester to no end. Warner Bros. had the tendency to put Sylvester in many of these one-off movies that do not feature Tweety at all, and although most did not work, this one worked better than many others because it was very amusing and even hilarious how helpless he was against this girl.

I wanted more development for the girl and the pacing is all over the place, but some scenes are quite memorable, especially the space scene, which you could see from a mile away, and Sylvester too, but that anxiety and anticipation of the worst on his face was just hilarious. He’s so funny here.

A Kiddies Kitty is weakly paced and not great, but certainly a lot of fun with Sylvester being funny in his very anxious turn.
