A Bone for a Bone (1951)
A Bone for a Bone Review
A Bone for a Bone is a 1951 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weak flick.
Basically, the two gophers are put against a dog who is looking for his bone. Needless to say, it’s a basic, very weak premise that lead to an overall weak movie. The dog is overall quite forgettable, though the gophers are more memorable. They are named Mac and Tosh in this cartoon so it’s the first one with their names being known.
A Bone for a Bone really needed a better developed dog character and better action which is rather pedestrian here. The situations overall are quite weak. As for the animation, it is solid, but nothing particularly amazing. The same goes for the overall technical aspects here. Warner Bros. were surely in the rut during this period.
A Bone for a Bone is another weaker entry from Warner Bros. with a forgettable premise, characters and action.
