A Bird in a Guilty Cage (1952)
A Bird in a Guilty Cage Review
A Bird in a Guilty Cage is a 1952 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a very fun movie.
Sylvester is chasing Tweety in another one of their classics. Yes, this film is so stellar throughout, in particular in some truly phenomenal sequences such as the mannequin scene which is so well composed in its entirety, and also the miniature house set piece which was glorious and so imaginative.
Sylvester is so funny here with his usual lisp talk whereas Tweety is as clever as he usually is, sometimes even impressively so. The dynamite scene wasn’t as strong and the beginning is not as memorable too, but most of the other scenes are so well crafted on all fronts, in particular the action is fantastic and the humor is so good.
A Bird in a Guilty Cage is a very well executed in action, highly entertaining Tweety/Sylvester outing with some truly memorable scenes.
