Grand Canyonscope

Grand Canyonscope Review

Grand Canyonscope is a 1954 animated short film produced by Disney. It’s a pretty weak flick.

Donald visits the Grand Canyon, where he is constantly berated by J. Audubon Woodlore for breaking the rules of the place. I did not get this one to be honest. The animation is fantastic and the film made a good use of its setting. It’s a technically well made flick, but the story was odd.

There is almost no Donald to be found here, which was the fatal flaw that prevented me from enjoying this one more. The new characters were dull and barely developed and the dialogue and humor were both mediocre. It’s one of the most forgettable entries in the entire series.

Grand Canyonscope has very strong animation and a good setting, but Donald is sidelined in this short that is also devoid of humor and energy.

My Rating – 3.3
