Donald’s Dream Voice (1948)
Donald’s Dream Voice Review
Donald’s Dream Voice is a 1948 animated short film produced by Disney. It is a pretty solid flick.
Donald buys some voice pills, which allow him to end up speaking properly without his usual squawking. This is a solid, but flawed flick that is at its best when focusing on Donald’s new voice. The voice acting is terrific here, the animation is stellar and Donald is as amusing as he always is.
It’s a perfectly fine short that is suitably diverting and charming, but it just paled in comparison to ‘Donald’s Dilemma’. I compare the two films because they share a similar setup, but this one lacks the romantic element with Daisy, so it was less dramatic and engaging. It felt a bit one-note.
