Pink Campaign (1975)
Pink Campaign Review
Pink Campaign is a 1975 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
The Pink Panther steals the house of a lumberjack (the Little Man) piece by piece in revenge for the lumberjack’s cutting down his treehouse home. The premise is great, but per usual we needed a better execution of it. I loved the use of the Little Man here. Yes, we’ve seen a forest setting many times before, but here he is a lumberjack, which was original for this movie and it was very funny following his demise here.
The anti-lumberjack narrative is so amusing and the highlights were Pink’s revenge scenes with every single cutting of the house being very entertaining. However, the ending is disappointing. I liked the little guy’s demise, but Pink’s house being destroyed was not explained why it happened and it was needless in my opinion.
