An Ounce of Pink is a 1965 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.
First and foremost, Crème Fraiche, the Season 14 episode of South Park, was very much inspired by this short I think. Shake Weight is so similar to this weight machine, and thus I loved this machine too. Yes, that meant that this again was a weird, very talkative episode of the show, but it mostly really worked.
The animation is stellar and the voice is memorable. But I found the humor to be the selling point here by far. Listening to this machine was so amusing as the contradicting things it says to the panther was both hilarious and also very interesting as it led to his terrific facial expressions. It’s an example of the series at its funniest in my opinion.
An Ounce of Pink has a fantastic humor that drives this flick to great heights with this weight machine being so much fun.
