We Give Pink Stamps Review

We Give Pink Stamps is a 1965 animated short film from the Pink Panther series.

This short happens in the department store where the panther goes to sleep, he has to escape the janitor played by The Little Man, and he also tries various appliances in the store. I personally found a short a bit disparate in its structure as the first one had the man and the second one only involved trying out those products. Both worked so well, but seemed somewhat disconnected.

I liked the use of The Little Man, he was quite memorable. And of course I loved the setting of the department store as it was new and thus it provided us with many new possibilities for the gags. I liked many of them, in particular the shower part, and the iron part was also hilariously brutal and uncomfortable. The animation and score were reliably great as was the protagonist’s innate curiosity at display.

We Give Pink Stamps is disparate, but it’s wonderfully utilized in its setting and quite charming overall.
