Secret Agent is a 1943 animated short film from the Superman series. It is the seventeenth and last entry in the series.
This wasn’t the best way to end the series, actually this is my least favorite entry in the entire filmography, but still it’s solid and it has its obvious strengths. One is the animation which is reliably strong, and the action is very well executed in every sequence with the bridge stuff being memorable.
The girl who resembles Lois Lane is memorable and tough, albeit I do not get why Lois wasn’t used herself. Supes himself is unfortunately boring and forgettable here whereas the entire plot of the movie is nothing special, and only serviceable for the action and the characters.
Overall, Secret Agent is just solid, but flawed and far from great. But I am going to miss this series as it was so great that I wish many more cartoons were made instead of just these seventeen.
