Daffy Doodles (1946)
Daffy Doodles Review
Daffy Doodles is a 1946 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a terrific Daffy Duck outing.
Daffy Duck is accused of painting mustaches on people after being chased by Porky throughout what is one very frenetic cartoon. It’s fast to a fault, but still that suits Daffy so well as he shines as he has rarely shined in recent memory. He’s so amazing and fittingly screwball with his lisp being hilarious and his actions are so amusing throughout.
He outshines Porky for sure, but the pig’s got a couple of funny lines and moments to himself as well. But just the silliness of its premise and the great execution of it, especially in action and humor made it one of the greatest Daffy Duck outings so far and the one which has many standouts moments with of course the ending itself being hilarious.
Daffy Doodles is frenetic, but hilarious throughout with a great execution of its simple and effective premise and a star turn from Daffy himself.
