The Bashful Buzzard is a 1945 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a solid flick.
Beaky Buzzard is sent by his mother to bring back home something to eat and in a funny, ridiculous twist he brings back a caught, full dragon. I liked that ending quite a bit and I continue to really like this character as Beaky is a lot of fun and quite memorable. I also loved the film’s apparent high energy.
But that also came at a bit of a cost when it comes to the film’s pacing which is ridiculously fast and the structure is definitely odd as stuff just happens out of nowhere. Some of those middle part scenes are definitely too odd. But the beginning is great and the ending is awesome leading to a solid but flawed effort.
The Bashful Buzzard features a good protagonist and a fine ending, but the pacing and structure are too odd.
