3 Ring Wing-Ding (1968)
3 Ring Wing-Ding Review
3 Ring Wing-Ding is a 1968 animated short film from the Looney Tunes series. It is a weak cartoon.
English Colonel Rimfire reads that a circus offers $1000 for a live tiger. Rimfire decides to deliver Cool Cat. This was the weakest Cool Cat movie released up to this point in the series’ run. The circus setting was a solid one and I did like Rimfire once again as he is always a delightful character, but Cool Cat himself was forgettable and the movie is mostly unfunny.
The animation is very poor here. It looked so cheap, in fact, that the colors were both muted and very sparse as it looked almost yellow-tinted at times and overly saturated. The circus setting should have led to some fun gags, but the gags that we got here are mostly mediocre and seen before and done much better in many superior cartoons.
3 Ring Wing-Ding looks mediocre and it doesn’t have any memorable gags as it failed to make good use of its circus setting.
